The Hubble telescope is known to take extremely clear pictures of stars. In fact, its camera has a resolution of 0.04 arcseconds, or about a quarter-millionth of a degree. The Hubble telescope was first launched in 1990 on a space shuttle. The telescope was damaged in 1993, but it was repaired and is now functioning like new. The Hubble telescope is also capable of taking pictures of a much greater field of view than the others.

While the Hubble is a brilliant piece of equipment, it’s based on visible light, which isn’t perfect for our eyes. Spitzer, a much smaller infrared telescope that operated for 17 years before Hubble, took images of the Milky Way galaxy center. The images from Spitzer were clearer than Hubble’s, despite being covered in dust particles.

Using the Hubble space telescope’s Deep Field feature, it has discovered an enormous amount of galaxies in the universe. According to Kalirai, there are at least as many galaxies in the universe as stars in the Milky Way! The Hubble mission was launched on July 22, 1990, and was the first to take pictures of the universe in such a manner. Its image is now the most comprehensive to date. The Hubble Space Telescope uses different filters to capture images. Different telescopes don’t take simultaneous readings, so images taken at one time are not necessarily the same as those taken later. The Hubble uses filters to let in specific wavelength ranges. By doing this, Hubble can detect light from all over the visible, infrared, and ultraviolet spectrum. It can also detect the fainter wavelengths than human eyes can see.
